How about the adsorption capacity of activated alumina

Regarding the physical adsorption of activated alumina, the adsorbent and the adsorbent are attracted by intermolecular forces to each other. In activated alumina chemical adsorption, the adsorbed molecules and the atoms on the surface of the adsorbent undergo chemical effects, and electronic transport, atomic rearrangement or chemical bond destruction and formation occur between the activated alumina and the adsorbate.

Generally speaking, the process of physical adsorption of activated alumina is reversible, almost no activation energy is required (even if the demand is very small), the speed of adsorption and desorption is very fast, it can be considered that once the activated alumina and the adsorbent are touched, the adsorption effect will occur immediately;

3. All the adsorption processes of activated alumina are exothermic reactions, and the "adsorption heat" released by physical adsorption is much less than that of chemical adsorption, and its heat is close to the heat of vaporization in the adsorbate liquid state or the condensation heat in the gas state;

4. Physical adsorption is not selective, that is, any solid can adsorb any gas, only in the difference in adsorption amount (the adsorption effect of too small adsorption has no practical application value);

5. Physical adsorption of activated alumina is related to condensation, so it must be carried out as long as it is lower than the boiling point of the adsorbed substance.

Activated alumina desiccant packaging technology, strong moisture absorption, can be useful to prevent ocean transportation, due to temperature and humidity changes caused by condensation in the container and damage to the goods - moisture, mildew, rust, oxidation, etc., such as the carton presents water stains to affect the appearance or directly damage the outer packaging, and even affect product quality such as rust of metal parts or label falling. Activated alumina desiccant moisture absorption principle: the component of container desiccant is calcium chloride, under the condition of 25 °C and relative humidity of 90%, the large capacity of adsorbing water vapor can reach 250% of its own weight, reaching the performance of similar foreign products.

Activated alumina will increase with the adsorption capacity with the extension of time: assuming 3 tons an hour, then 5 tons or even 7 tons in two hours, and so on. However, after a certain time, the adsorption increment of activated alumina tends to be slow. For example, at this time, every additional hour will increase by 3 tons, and after this time, no additional hour will only increase by one ton. Since activated alumina is a master of fluorine removal, here we will talk about the connection between activated alumina dosage and fluoride removal effect. Activated alumina, the less its dosage, the more abundant the adsorption, the better the adsorption effect.
